SERIAL NUMBER: 511 , BARREL: 3 1/2", CALIBER: .31, MFG: 1860, Colt Model 1855 Root Revolver 3A cased with accessories. Invented by Elisha Root the lead engineer for Samuel Colt with unique Side Hammer operation. Includes iron 2 cavity bullet mold, Eagle double sided pistol powder flask and cleaning rods. CONDITION: Very Good-Fine, The revolver has smooth metal with about 25% blue finish, mostly in protected areas. The action is crisp, but the cylinder does not always index. One piece walnut grips have original varnish. The bore is fairly clean with good rifling. The period case is good with a hairline on the lid. ANTIQUE
