CASED JAPANESE BAMBOO AND PAPER FAN Late Meiji Period

Obverse with finely painted depiction of a woman with a sword and staff within a landscape, with calligraphy and seal mark upper left. Reverse with extensive calligraphy and two seal marks. Bamboo sticks. Fan guard signed on both sides. Open length 19". Housed in a glass case with wooden base. Case height 15". Length 23". Width 3.25".

Condition: Some light tearing of paper on one stick, some faint toning.
