[CASSINI, OLEG - KENNEDY, JACQUELINE] Group of approximately 130 original fashion designs created for the publication of Cassini's A Thousand Days of Magic.
Circa 1995. Thick pencil or crayon drawings on paper with added watercolor, each signed in pencil "Oleg Cassini", the drawings each 17 x 14 inches and mounted to black backing boards each 20 x 15 inches. The drawings well preserved and covered with tissue, some rippling from watercolor, occasional wear, fine overall.
A large and attractive group of recreations of Cassini's sketches styled after his workshop drawings of fashions for Mrs. Kennedy of the early 1960s. The first edition of A Thousand Days of Magic was published in 1995 and while these drawings bear signatures it is plausible that Cassini had some studio support. The publication is a tour-de-force of all of all of the First Lady's looks with dozens of these drawings reproduced.
