CAST IRON MATCH HOLDER W/ GAMBLING COMPONENT

This is a cast iron match holder with a brass ship's wheel mounted on top that acts as a roulette wheel. These came in many styles, all marked with the word "Depose." This particular example shows an officer sitting with a young lady at a pub table. The ship's wheel would rotate as a roulette wheel, creating a gambling component for gameplay. CONDITION: The cast iron shows a nice aged patina, with no cracks, chips or repairs. There is a slight dent in the brass of the ship's wheel. Condition: (Very Good) Dimensions: 13" x 7" x 5"
