Dim: 18.5 x 28 cm. With XVII black and white lithographed plates, presented as such by the artist. Orange paper binding with a gold-tooled fillet, in a romantic floral style, along the edges of the boards. Smooth spine tooled with symbolic gold lines.
This rare copy belonged to the library of H.R.H. The Duke of Genoa, who was a Savoia, as indicated by the ownership ex-libris affixed to the inner endpaper.
The album shows the exact positions that the cavalry soldier must adopt on horseback. It also shows, in the artist’s drawing, the monogram C.A. of King Carlo Alberto, who reigned between 1831 and 1849. P. Brunesi was the author of the drawing and the lithographs.
No reference to this ALBUM was found in the equestrian bibliography, so it may be a unique copy, perhaps intended for the training of the Duke of Genoa.

Ce rare exemplaire a appartenu à la bibliothèque de S.A.R. Le Duc de Gênes, qui était un Savoia, comme l’indique l’ex-libris de possession collé sur la feuille de garde intérieure.
L’album montre les positions exactes que le militaire de cavalerie doit adopter à cheval. Il montre également, dans le dessin de l’artiste, le monogramme C.A. du Roi Carlo Alberto, qui régna entre 1831 et 1849. P. Brunesi fut l’auteur du dessin et des lithographies.
Aucune référence à cet ALBUM n’a été trouvée dans la bibliographie équestre, de sorte qu’il pourrait s’agir d’un exemplaire unique, peut-être destiné à la formation du Duc de Gênes.
