Antique Wave Crest art glass dresser or powder box attributed to the C.F. Monroe Company, circa 1900. The rounded box and fitted lid are formed in the desirable molded ?puffy? or egg-crate pattern, finished in a soft custard-yellow opalescent ground. Hand-painted pink floral blossoms, trailing foliage and delicate enamel bead accents decorate the lobed surface. The hinged lid is joined to the body by an aged gilt brass-colored metal collar with ribbed detailing and a small front clasp.
