Wood, carved all around and painted. Female bust with the tail of a siren. With coat-of-arms cartouche (not identifiable). Antlers.
102 x 105 x 58 cm.
One lower arm and the tip of the tail, missing. One antler tip, missing; some have been repaired. Repairs to the hair.
A similar "Lusterweibchen" stemming from the second half of the 16th century, which was in the Royal Museum of Decorative Arts in Berlin around 1900, is depicted in: Kurt Jarmuth, Lichter Leuchten im Abendland. Braunschweig 1967, p. 182 (Fig. 170).
