PLACE DE L'ORMEAU, SAINT-TROPEZ
signé Ch Camoin (en bas à droite)
huile sur toile
Peint en 1921.
54,9 x 65,8 cm; 21⅝ x 25⅞ in.
L'authenticité de cette œuvre a été confirmée par Madame Anne-Marie Grammont-Camoin.
Condition Report:
It has not been possible to examine the work out of its frame. The canvas is not lined and slightly loose. There are pinholes to the upper and lower left corners. Examination under UV light reveals no evidence of retouching. There are horizontal faint marks, running along the centre of the upper and lower edges, probably original. There is some minor paint shrinkage in places, notably to the blue pigment, and a few small lines of stable craquelure. There are a few scattered flyspots. This work is in overall very good condition and could benefit from a light clean.
