Mid-19th century, tortoiseshell and ebonized wood with Boulle inlay, scrolling acanthus leaf ormolu mounts and a fan device before the front glass panel, having a rooster finial over an inlaid brass garland motif, the embossed bronzed face with Roman numeral enamel plaques and a border of stamped seconds markers, the interior with a miniature brass parquetry floor, and with brass inlay scrollwork to the interior of the door, having Greek keys over the feet; with white enamel plaque below the face, "Ch. Oudin Horloger de la Marine ... Paris"; the movement marked "Medaille D'Argent Vincentie & Cie 1855" and numbered 1154 . 7. 2
