CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE DECORATED PORCELAIN GINGER JAR

Qing Dynasty. Unmarked. The baluster vessel with a raised neck, decorated allover with blossoming leafy peonies, the shoulder with applied fu-dog masks, the lower part with a lappet border, later wood lid and stand. Height overall Diameter at shoulder. (Cond: 2 in. old hairline crack in the neck)
Provenance: Excavated on Luzon, the northern island of the Philippines. Purchased by the present owners during the 1980’s, while residing in the Philippines.
