Chinese, 19th century or earlier. An ink and watercolor on paper mounted to silk brocade which depicts a central Mahakala figure resting on lotus flowers surrounded by many Bodhisattva figures and objects of importance in the Buddhist culture. Apparently unmarked. Approx: 34" x 21"(image), 60" x 25" (scroll).
Condition Report: Several losses to paper commensurate with age and use; scroll has a 6" rip to upper right corner, several areas of small loss and exposed silk.
