CHINESE EASTERN CHOU DYNASTY BRONZE HELMET

Chinese, Chou Dynasty. A bronze domed helmet surmounted with a square finial with square hole. Edged in a thickened border and with a mythical beast decoration over the central pointed brow. Approx. h. 9" w. 8". Provenance: From the PrivateCollection of Morton & Kathleen Sachs of Louisville, Kentucky, purchased from TK Asian Antiquities (Williamsburg, VA) in 2000 & 2001 for $5,760.
