CHINESE EXPORT ARMORIAL PORCELAIN PLATE

of rounded form, the outer border with a continuous motif of gilt stars against a cobalt blue ground, centered a bald eagle, in the eagles' right talon, an olive branch, in the left — thirteen arrows, centered on the chest is a red, white and blue escutcheon, above are the thirteen original colonies, each represented by a star, the banner reads, e. pluribus unum, in Latin, surrounded by a gilt bounty border, all against a white ground; diameter: 23 cm (9 in.); dimensions of wooden box: 29 x 29 cm (11 3/8 x 11 3/8 in.)

CONDITION
The plate appears in good condition. With no apparent issues visible to the naked eye. Inspection under UV light shows no apparent signs of restoration.

Session II: European, North and South American, and Ethnographic Art, Antiques, Jewelry, and Design, lots 500-827
