CHINESE EXPORT BLACK LACQUER CADDY

Lobed form box or caddy with gilded Chinoiserie decoration to the lid and body, as well as a monogram in the centre of the lid. Raised on four winged, auspicious dragon feet with open, redpainted mouths. Hinged lid opens to reveal a black lacquer, square interior with gilt accents.
