Chinese. Famille rose porcelain suantouping or garlic head tulipiere enamel and gilt decorated lobed-form vase, having a yellow ground, scrolled florals and bats, reserves decorated with birds and florals, and lappets at the foot. Christie's tag "#JF879 L-3" and Qianlong type marks to the underside. Approx. h. 13.5", dia, 8.25".
Condition Report: Wear and losses to gilt decoration at openings; firing and glaze imperfections; no apparent chips, cracks or restorations when examined under ultraviolet light. Top part appears slightly off center.
