A Chinese terracotta painted bird. It has a naturalistic depiction, with a detailed crown, body patterns, feathers and bronze legs, accompanied by elaborate decorations painted on with red and black pigments. It was used as a funerary item for high ranking classes. This piece has been precisely dated using a Thermo Luminescence analysis carried out by Ralf Kotalla. The report will accompany the lot.
