The four legs are straight legs and bridged by sturdy stretched bars to two sides that conjoined each leg, the whole supported on legs of rectangles square section joined by stepped stretchers on hoofed foot. The table is made of large timber. The generous curve of the horse-hoof feet give the table weight. This Chinese table gives the impression of luxury, strong, magnificent, charming and antique, Huanghuali, or yellow flowering pear wood, Originally know as huali or huali, the color can range from reddish-brown to golden-yellow. The sweet fragrance of huali distinguishes it from the similar appearing but pungent-adored hongmu.
