Chinese. Pair of mirror image turquoise glaze porcelain crouching elephants on plinths resting on carved wooden stands. Marked and impressed "China" to underside. Approx. h. 6.125" (elephant), h. 7" (on stand), w. 5.5" (stand).
Condition Report: Examined under blacklight, no apparent chips. Stable firing crack to underside and repair to one trunk. Stands have some minor scuffing / scratches commensurate with shelfwear and repair to one foot. Firing / glazing imperfections.
