CHINESE RED CINNABAR VASE AND PLATE WITH STAND SET

A Chinese set of hand carved red cinnabar lacquer wares. The set includes a globular shaped vase featuring a hand carved image of birds in blossoming flowers surrounded by foliage and scrollwork motifs going to the shoulders and necks of the vase. The set also includes a plate made in the same design, decorated with a hand carved rural scene in a river landscape surrounded by floral and foliage ornaments on the borders. The plate is completed with a stand made in an openwork floral design. Circa: the first half of the 20th century.
