CHINESE TANG DYNASTY BROWN GLAZED JAR W LUG HANDLES

An antique Chinese Tang dynasty brown glazed stoneware jar with applied lug handles. The globular shaped jar with a flat foot and tapered waist rising to broad voluptuous shoulders with a pair of loop handles and an everted mouth. The interior and exterior of the ware are covered in a rich deep brown glaze with fine speckling throughout, reminiscent of a tea dust glaze.
