Chinese, late 19th century. Porcelain figure of Hota, depicting the fat, cheerful, seated Buddha with hand-painted face, prayer beads in one hand and holding his robe in the other, iron red and gold painted details. Unmarked and with appliedauthenticity label on his back. Approx.h. 10.25", w. 9.5", d. 5.5". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Anital, Riverdale, New York.
