American Mirror with figured mahogany frame, gilded eagle crest and scrolled top molding, carved and gilded side festoons, beveled edge mirror (not original), wooden back panel, with sheet containing provenance information (including its original owner - surveyor Andrew Ellicott who was appointed by the US Congress in 1792 to participate in laying out a plan for the city of Washington DC) affixed to back panel, 46" x 20 3/4".
