CHIPPENDALE SLANT-LID DESK ATTRIBUTED TO THE DUNLAP FAMILY New Hampshire, Circa 1780

In maple. Slant lid with central carved pinwheel. Slightly stepped interior comprised of four pigeonholes and nine drawers, four with fan carvings. Case with four graduated full-width drawers and ogee bracket feet. Molding at base cut in a triangular pattern, typical of the Dunlap family. Height 41.25". Width 35". Depth 19".

Condition: Overall good condition with minimal wear. Refinished some time ago. Hardware replaced. Lid's support slides are replacements.
