CHIPPENDALE STYLE ARMCHAIR
American, 19th century, mahogany. Yoke form top rail with scrolling ears, over the pierced 'owl' form splat with bird head form ears, with outward scrolling armrests ending with acanthus carved highlights, over the original leather covered compass seat, all on acanthus carved cabriole legs ending on claw and ball feet.
