Condition: VG. First Edition. Rare book. 3/4 brown leather, marbled boards, 4 raised bands, gilt decorated/lettered. First issues, 1760-1761. 31 Copper Engraved Plates (Some Folding) includes engraving of 'Floridian Women Sacrificing Their First Born' with article. Vol 1-June -Dec 1760. Vol 2 Jan-June 1761, Supplement and July/Aug 1761. Vol 1 lacks one plate. Both vols. have extremity rubbing/wear, lt. extremity chipping on edges/corners and some occasional lt. foxing through-out/eps. Vol 2 inner front hinge crack repair. Prev. owners name on fep/pep on both vols. and a couple txt pgs. with a small chip and lt. wrinkling. Profusely illustrated; 846 pages.
