CHUMASH HEICHAL HABRACHA – SEGULA FOR PROTECTION - COPY THAT BELONGED TO THE REBBE OF MUNKACZ - RABBI SHLOMO SHAPIRA (1832-1893).

CHUMASH WITH COMMENTARY HEICHAL HABRACHA BY RABBI YITZCHAK EISEK YEHUDA YECHIELSAFRIN (1806-1874), FIRST REBBE OF KOMARNA.

First Edition. Lemberg 5634 (1854) – published by the author .

The Rebbe of Komarna writes in his introduction: I am sure that whoever has this Chumash in his house shall be protected from all evil, and from all bad occurrences and from illness and loss, and his house shall be full of the blessings of G-d and everything good, success, wealth and long life for him and his children’.

The stamp of the Rabbi of Munkacz appears four times in this Chumash, with the following wording, ‘SHLOMO SHAPIRA AV BETH DIN DE’KEHILLA KEDOSHA MUNKACZ’ .

Rabbi Shlomo Shapira - Rebbe of Munkacz, son of Rabbi Elazar of Lanzut and grandson of the author of Bnei Yissaschar. Rabbi of Strizhov and Munkacz (1882); first Rebbe of the Munkacz chassidic dynasty. Author of manuscript works ‘Shem Shlomo’ – which he instructed not to be printed.

Rabbi Yitzchak Eisek Yehuda Yechiel Safrin, first Rebbe of the Komarna dynasty. Disciple of his illustrious uncle Rabbi Tzvi Hirsh Eichenstein of Zidatshov and other tzadikim. Author of many talmudic, halachic and kabbalistic works, including commentaries on Torah and Mishnayos.
