CHUNKY ANKLE BRACELET OR SHACKLE First half of the 20th century. Copper alloy (bronze or heavy brass). Dimensions: 9 cm (1123 g). A very thick, circular trade anklet or shackle, consisting of two separate semicircular sections. The clasp consists of two beveled blades or tabs that interlock to secure the ring.
