Small octavo, 20.5 x 15.5 cm, [1 long and precious dedication by the author to the KING OF ITALY AND EMPEROR VITTORIO EMANUEL III] of 163 pages, with 33 black-and-white photographs, one of them folded. In paperback. Good state of preservation, with small signs of use. Illustrated and detailed historical chronicle of Mussolini’s visit to Milan and Pavia between 30 October and 3 November 1936, with a propagandistic tone, but published by the author himself under the imprint "Lettura Italiana". The book follows the dictator during his rallies and visits to factories and schools, highlighting the personalities present on the various occasions and documenting the encounters with photographs from the Istituto Luce. The book describes, among other things, visits to the Alfa Romeo workshops, to the Carlo Erba recreational club, to the Caproni Aeronautical Factory (with some images of aircraft and workers), to ACNA in Cesano Maderno, to the Casa del Fascio in Seveso San Pietro, to the industrial town of Sesto San Giovanni, to the Breda factory, to the Casa dei Giornalisti, to the editorial office of Il Popolo d'Italia, to the Basilica of San Lorenzo, to the Military School, to Piazza San Sepolcro, to the Sacchi School, to the GB Vico school in Cagnola, to the Monumental Cemetery, to the University of Pavia, to Lonate Pozzolo and to Sesto Calende. The text of the speech delivered on 1 November is reproduced. Finally, a fold-out illustration shows the lighting and the crowd at the beginning of the ceremony. Good state of preservation, with small signs of aging.
VALUABLE FOR THE HEARTFELT DEDICATION FROM THE AUTHOR TO HIS KING.
