CIRCLE OF JOSEPH HIGHMORE (BRITISH, 1692-1780): THREE QUARTER LENGTH PORTRAIT. Anne Warren wife of Robert Wolesley Esq in a green dress and blue cloak holding a posy of flowers, oil on canvas, unsigned, 99 by 72cm, in a gilt mount, 107 by 80cm. Notes: Anne Warren (b. 24-8-1696) wife of Capt Robert Wolseley brother of Sir William Wolseley 5th Bt and Sir Richard Wolseley 1st Bt of Mount Wolseley Co Carlow MP. Born in Kilkenny Ireland, daughter of Ebenezer Warren ands Mary Haydock. She married Capt Robert Wolseley, they had one son, William Neville Wolseley. Condition: There is damp to the painting, a tear bottom left, historic worn to mount, overall craquelure.
