CIVIL WAR 1/6 TINTYPE ARMED FEDERAL OHIO SOLDIER

Nice original 1/6 plate tintype id'd on back as Vincent Mennuez . (Mennez) Research shows a Vincent Mennuez in the 102 Ohio Infantry. He enlisted on 8-2-1862 as a 19 year old private. On 9-6-1862 he mustered into H Company Ohio 102nd Infantry. he mustered out on 6-30-1965 in Nashville. The image is clear and Mennuez has his rifle with fixed bayonet and is wearing a Kepi and his breast plate and belt plate are visible. There is a light toning to the plates. The image is housed in a nice leatherette case taped at the spine. Good contrast and clarity. Very Good-Excellent
