CIVIL WAR CONFEDERATE ATTRIBUTED SWORD

Straight grip with wire wrap and leather covering. Crude Confederate attributed guard and butt cap. 1860 pattern blade with very undefined fuller. Mate to this sword is pictured on p, 192 of William A Albaugh III's book " APHOTOGRAPHIC SUPPLEMENT OF CONFEDERATE SWORDS" that accompanies this sword. Sword is from a Decatur AL, region collection. CONDITION, Good with lightly stained and blade with lightly cleaned pitting. Guard is fine with nice period mustard patina. Wrap is possibly restored as its looks very fine . ANTIQUE
