M1850 FOOT OFFICER’S SWORD. This Model 1850 Foot Officer’s sword which was carried by every lieutenant and captain. The hilt is tight; has a matching patina with a rewrapped grip. The 29-inch blade is still very bright. The steel scabbard with brass fittings has pitting to the steel.
