Civil War Model 1840 NCO Sword. Straight steel blade with fuller. Maker marked on one side of the the ricasso "US. HDH. 1862" and "Ames, Chicopee, Mass" on the other. Brass hilt. Part of the scabbard upper brass fitting. Blade Length: 28" Total Length: 34.5"
Condition Report: Very good. Light oxidation and dark spotting throughout the blade.
