CIVIL WAR MODEL 1860 CAVALRY SWORD 1864 AMES

Very nice original Ames Model 1860 Cavalry sword with scabbard. Has 34 1/2" bright blade that is marked on one side of ricasso " Ames MFG Co. Chicopee Mass" and on the other side "U.S. C.E.W.. 1864". Also has inspectors mark J.H. on pommel. Hilt is tight to blade and retains original washer. Knuckle bow is still very solid and true. Has leather grip with some minor wear. Scabbard is in nice condition. A fine example f this Civil war sword. About 41" overall. Excellent
