Civil War Non-Regulation German Import "M1850" US Officer Sword. Based on the British Rifle's Officer sword pattern 1827. Slightly curved fullered blade. Floral design and "US" dual acid etching on the blade but barely visible. Maker mark / logo Solingen stamped on one side of the ricasso. Steel Hilt with pierce guard depicting the American Eagle above the "US" and under the "E PLURIBUS UNUM" motto. Ray skin covered grip with twisted wire. Two rings steel scabbard. Blade Length: 31.5/8" Total Length: 37.1/4"
Condition Report: Very good. Light oxidation throughout the sword and scabbard.
