Lot of 4 Civil War era signatures from Mississippi politicians during the Civil War. James L. Alcorn, who briefly served as a Confederate general during the early part of the war, and went on to become a Republican senator after the war. Henry S. Foote was a senator and governor of Mississippi before the Civil War. Littleton W. Moore served as a Captain in the Confederate Army during the Civil War and served as a Democrat congressman after the war. Thomas Ringland Stockdale was a congressman from Mississippi, served as a Major in the Confederate army, and served as a Democrat congressman after the war. All four signatures appear to have been cut from an album, and include several pages of printed research on each man. Very Good - Excellent
