CKO / Georg Kellermann lithographed tinplate clockwork twin-funnel ocean liner, circa 1930s, the pressed tinplate hull is finished with a dark blue-grey upper hull above a bright red lower section, the sides finely lithographed with numerous rows of cream portholes and stylised maritime emblems, the bow bears the CKO trade mark, cream and pale-yellow lithographed deck and superstructure are unusually elaborate, incorporating extensive printed planking, ventilators, hatches, windows and deck equipment, the long central superstructure carries two large rectangular red funnels, with numerous pressed and applied lifeboats arranged along either side, the strongly streamlined profile, extensive promenade accommodation and twin-funnel arrangement are characteristic of the fascination with the great transatlantic express liners of the inter-war period; the design is probably intended as a generic contemporary luxury liner rather than an exact scale representation of a particular vessel, the red funnel to the back with clockwork mechanism, the spring motor intended to propel the vessel through water, approximately 350 mm long × 60 mm wide.
