CLANDESTINE OSS PIPE DAGGER.
[USA: c. 1941-45]. An American OSS (Office for Strategic Services) secret agents' pipe dagger, length 170 mm. An apparently regular pipe, the mouth piece detaching to contain a steel stabbing knife, blade length 80 mm.

An unusual and rare OSS agents' secret knife, concealed within a regular pipe. This was a particularly brutal weapon, which at close quarters was very effective. Daggers were very much part of a SOE or OSS agent's arsenal: quiet, concealed and deadly.
