Condition Report:
It has not been possible to see the work entirely unframed. The canvas is not lined. There is a milky varnish preventing UV light from fully penetrating. However, examination under UV light appears to reveal an area of retouching (approx. 6 cm long) towards the upper right corner, a smaller spot of retouching towards the lower right corner, a line of retouching (approx. 6 cm long) to the left part of the upper edge and additional small dots and lines of retouching in places, most predominately along the extreme edges. There are webs of stable craquelure throughout the composition. There is some frame rubbing along the extreme edges. This work is in overall good condition.
