Faience decorated in overglaze enamels. Pear-shaped, painted with a stag hunt, with a hunter taking aim and two hunting dogs, within a continuous wooded landscape. The cover similarly painted with landscape decoration. Unmarked.
H 22 cm.
Handle repaired; glaze flaking to the rim.

Künersberg distinguishes three types of landscape settings for its hunting decoration: the riverbank landscape with a background landscape picked out in blue, the "patch-of-ground landscape" on individual patches of ground, and the "landscape with conical trees" with overhanging branches ("Künersberg" exhibition 1995, p. 109).
