Cold War US Army Major Generals Uniform. Named to Major General Ralph Morris Osborne 0-16399. Class A army green service tunic with bullion Major General ranks, 3rd Infantry Division and Hercules Missile Defense Command shoulder patches. CIB and ribbon bar including Legion of Merit with two devices, Bronze Star, American Campaign, American Defense, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign, European?African?Middle Eastern Campaign, WWII Victory, Army of Occupation, National Defense, Korean Service with three stars, French Fourragere with leaf, Canadian Meritorious Service Cross, Cheon-Su Medal, NATO Korean Service medals and ROK Presidential Unit Citation. Combat Infantry Badge. "US" collar insignia and overseas bars. Tailor tag present. Matching uniform shirt and trousers. Major General Ralph Morris Osborne was born in Maryland on January 12, 1903. He attended the US Military Academy at West Point, graduating in 1926. He served as a Field Artillery Officer during WWII where he earned his first Legion of Merit. During the Korean War, he served as Assistant Chief of Staff of the 8th Army, at the rank of Brigadier General. In 1958, Osborne took command of the American sector of Berlin until he retired in 1961. Over the span of his career, Osborne served in Two wars, earned three Legion of Merits, served at the pentagon, participated in the Korean armistice talks, and more. Osborne passed away on April 10, 1991 and is buried at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, A-I, 599.
