FIRST EDITION, from General Collot's survey, which was "the most detailed of the Western Interior up to his time...[it] was made in 1796...Both English and French editions were printed simultaneously in 1805, but not published until 1826, at which time all but 100 copies of the English and 300 copies of the French were deliberately destroyed" (Howes).
