SERIAL NUMBER 4722, BARREL6" CALIBER .8 COLT, MAUFACTURED 1892. Marked on Butt, US ARMY MODEL 1892 No 4722, US inspectors marking R.A.C. ( Renaldo A. Carr) on frame and cylinder. 2 line barrel address with last patent date "95". 2 piece smooth walnut grips with no inspections or numbers. Revolver remains in good condition with over 60% finish on frame with losses mostly at grip straps. The barrel is lightly frosted internally with over 40% finish on exterior. The grips are very good with no cracks or material loss the cylinder latch is an unnumbered Colt replacement . Operates properly mechanically. A nice early example of the Spanish American War and Cuban conflicts. ANTIQUE
