COLT ENGLISH OFFICIAL POLICE DOUBLE ACTION

SERIAL 684740. BARREL 5". CALIBER 38-200. MADE IN 1942. Made for the English market , it features the barrel cartridge stamp 38-200 with English proof marks on frame, barrel and every cylinder. It is fitted with a lanyard. Gun has a standard commercial blue finish with silver medallion checkered walnut grips. Since this gun was made after America entered the war, we no longer hid behind the Lend Lease program and shipped these guns to England for the war. As such, they are usually found in less than fine condition. This example remains in superb original condition retaining at least 98% original blue finish with a bit of high edge wear and few usual English dings but is one of the best examples of this gun we have seen.
