All matching serial numbers of 218136 (Manufacture date of 1862), the barrel wedge assembly does not appear to be marked, but looks to be original. Stamped "Address CCL Saml Colt New-York US America" on top of the octagonal barrel. Brass trigger guard is stamped "R". Having a notched hammer rear sight with wood pistol grips. Overall length is 9". This lot includes a velvet-lined fitted case, tin powder flask, dual-cavity bullet mold for both connical and round shot and a small box of eight percussion caps (age or working order unknown).
Condition: Front bead sight is missing. There is some damage to the assembly screws. Minor pitting to the metal overall. Surface scratches due to use and age. Action is functioning. Colt's archive mentions a stagecoach scene on the cylinder but this is not visible, although the matching serial number is. Bullet mold shows much pitting and surface scratching.
