dating: Third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: USA, Round, rifled, cal. 44 Colt centerfire barrel, with brass foresight, marked 'ADDRESS COL. SAM.L COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA'. Recessed, six-shot cylinder, with remains of navy engravings, marked 'COLTS PATENT' and serial number matching with the other parts. Frame with 1871 and 1873 patents, provided with Richards breech-loading conversion with loading gate. Wooden grip with brass lower band and trigger-guard and iron back, both with serial number '4xxx' matching on the frame and barrel. Lateral extractor. In working order. length 35.5 cm.
