COLT NEW ARMY .41 PRODUCED IN 1894
SERIAL NUMBER 12110, BARREL 6" CALIBER .41 COLT. MANUFACTURED 1894. Very early Colt New Army Double Action revolver chambered for the .41 Colt cartridge. Blue finish with checkered hard rubber grips with Colt legend at top. Matching assembly numbers observed on frame , barrel, and cylinder. The revolver retains traces of original blue in protected areas with balance having turned a plumish grey. The grips are contemporary replacements. The barrel has a bulge 1" from muzzle. The action operates properly with lock-up being slightly loose. These revolvers were used extensively in the southwest during the late cowboy era. ANTIQUE
