REVOLVER. Cal. 38 RF. S#. 7626. Fit with a 4.5" bbl with ejector and 1-line New York address. Round 5-shot stage coach scene rebated cylinder. Frame is of the large hammer screw, exposed loading gate spring, & " PAT. JULY 25. 1871 / PAT. JULY 2. 1872" type. The brass straps are marked "36 CAL" on the trigger guard web. 1-piece walnut grips. Matching SN on the bbl, cyl, frame, straps, & grips. The loading gate and arbor are marked with the assembly number 1588. CONDITION: Overall very good. The bbl retains 70% of the original blue with the finish loss found predominantly on the upper portion of the bbl from an aggressive cleaning. The cylinder has approx 50% of the original blue. The case coloring remains in the protected areas. The grips are sound with good original varnish. Decent bore with light frosting and some mild shallow pitting.
