Cal. 41 RF. S# 6517. Bbl. 2 1/2". No. 2 single shot deringer pistol mfg. by Colt. The top of the bbl. is marked with Colt's mfg. information, followed by "No2" between two Maltese crosses. Frame exhibits light scroll engraving. Bbl. exhibits a nickel plated finish, with the bbl. screw exhibiting a nitre blue finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood birds head grips. Frame and bbl. are matching, with the grips matching via a handwritten number on the interior of the panels. CONDITION: bbl. retains the majority of its original factory nickel plated finish, exhibiting some flaking, wear, handling marks, and discoloration overall. Frame retains a dark gray patina, with light to mild pitting present overall. Bright bore, exhibiting scattered areas of moderate pitting and retaining good rifling throughout. Grips exhibit some wear and some scattered marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain remain sturdy and serviceable. (01-25056/MLW). ANTIQUE. $300-500.
