COLT OFFICIAL POLICE .38 PISTOL IN BOX MADE 1937

SN 603066, made in 1937. 6" barrel, 6-shot double action revolver in .38. Colt Official Police, marked "Officer's Model" on the left side of the barrel. Features checkered wood Colt medallion grips, fixed sight, and blued finish. Comes in original black paper over cardboard box with paper label. Also includes original factory target with this gun's serial number, as well as an additional 1930's test fire target with a different serial number, two copies of the 1930's pamphlet from Colt titled "Shooting Suggestions," and some miscellaneous paperwork from the late 1930s presumably from the original owner of this pistol who was employed by Shell Oil at the time. This gun was test fired by "J. M. Molloy" from a rest at the Colt factory and the target with the serial number of this pistol bears his original signature. Also includes two wood grip inserts, an early Pachmayr grip, and a Pachmayr Sure Sight Gauge. Finish 99%+ with minor storage wear, action and bore near mint. Near Mint*
